Emma Bodger, Emmy award-winning director, producer, and showrunner

Professional highlights Professional highlights

I am an Emmy award winning creative. I’m passionate about stories which engage and surprise. I strive to find fresh perspectives, uncover revealing layers, and delight with the unexpected. I’m an experienced director, and producer for film and television. I also wrote some of the projects I’ve directed.

My directing career began in 1998 when I made Joint Venture, my first short film. It won several international awards. Since then, I’ve directed more films for cinema—including a feature—and produced dozens more episodes of popular television dramas in the UK, Bangladesh, and Kenya. I’ve also been employed as an executive producer and showrunner for film, television, and other media.
